Cameron Batho-Samblas joins INOVOTION’s R&D team

We’re delighted to host Cameron Batho-Samblas, from the Megan Davey Lab at the Roslin Institute (The University of Edinburgh), who is joining INOVOTION’s R&D team until the end of this year as part of the Professional Internships for PhD Students (PIPs) program.

During his internship, Cameron will gain broad experience in scientific research within an industrial setting, contributing to our ongoing work in preclinical oncology and personalised medicine using the chick embryo model. He’ll be working with our scientists on both bioinformatics-driven analyses and immunological assays, deepening his understanding of the translational potential of in vivo NAMs models.

Cameron’s home lab, led by Dr. Megan G Davey, focuses on developmental chicken embryology, with particular expertise in: limb patterning, cilia, biology and developmental tempo

The chicken embryo model is central to their research and continues to demonstrate major advantages over rodent models – offering high biological relevance, ethical and 3Rs compliance, and cost-effective scalability. These shared interests make this collaboration between INOVOTION and the Davey Lab especially meaningful.

We’re thrilled to strengthen our academic ties with the Roslin Institute and look forward to advancing our joint research on the chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) model – particularly as we prepare for the upcoming CAM conference.

Welcome to the team, Cameron!
